Tal día como hoy ...

Tal día como hoy de 1959 nace Jon Fosse, escritor y dramaturgo noruego.

Jon Olav Fosse nació en Haugesund, Noruega. Debutó en 1983 con la novela Raudt, svart (Rojo, negro). Su primera obra, Og aldri skal vi skiljast, se realizó y publicó en 1994. Jon Fosse ha escrito novelas, cuentos, poesía, libros infantiles, ensayos y obras de teatro. Sus obras han sido traducidas a más de cuarenta idiomas. Es considerado como uno de los más grandes dramaturgos contemporáneos del mundo. Fosse fue nombrado caballero de la Orden Nacional del Mérito de Francia en 2007.​ Fosse también se ha clasificado con el número 83 en la lista de los 100 mejores genios vivos por The Daily Telegraph.​ Desde 2011, a Fosse se le ha concedido la Grotten, una residencia honoraria propiedad del Estado noruego y ubicado en las instalaciones del Palacio Real, en el centro de la ciudad de Oslo. El uso de los Grotten como residencia permanente es un honor especial otorgado por el Rey de Noruega por sus contribuciones a las artes y la cultura noruega.
