Tal día como hoy de 1956 nace Robert David Reed, autor estadounidense de ciencia ficción, ganador del premio Hugo.

Robert Reed nació el 9 de octubre de 1956 en Omaha, Nebraska. Se licenció en Ciéncias de Biología en la Universidad Nebraska Wesleyan. Desde 2010 Reed vive en Lincoln, Nebraska con su mujer y su hija.

Robert Reed es un autor de género extraordinariamente prolífico, siendo, por ejemplo "Alone" su venta profesional número 200. Su trabajo aparece de forma regular en: Asimov', Fantasy & Science Fixxion y Sci Fiction. También ha publicado once novelas.
